The Death of Billy The Kid

The Death of Billy the Kid reimagines the killing of the infamous outlaw by Pat Garrett in 1881 at Fort Sumner, New Mexico. It is a story of love, friendship, and fate. As myth and memory blur, the film explores the fragile line between legend and man, questioning whether Billy was a ruthless criminal, a misunderstood youth, or something in between.

The Death of Billy the Kid premiered at the 47th CineFestival in San Antonio and was nominated for the Mesquite Award for Best Texas Short Film.

The Donkey Lady

The Donkey Lady reimagines San Antonio’s tragic urban legend by shifting the focus away from the victim’s disfigurement and toward the violence, grief, othering, and cycles of abuse that have been obscured as her story has become folklore and entertainment. Through film, I want to preserve this distinctly San Antonio story while asking what our fascination with the Donkey Lady reveals about how we turn suffering into spectacle, marginalize those who are different, and remember the victim while allowing the perpetrators—and our own capacity for cruelty—to disappear from the narrative.your text here...

The Donkey Lady is currently in pre production.
